About The Position

The Teen Reach Coordinator is responsible for the planning, organizing and implementing teen programs and evaluates activities and outcomes within a specific program area, supporting our priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character and Citizenship.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED / College coursework preferred
  • At least one year of experience working with youth ages 5 – 18 years old
  • Knowledge of youth development
  • Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior problems
  • Ability to maintain a high level of energy
  • Ability to plan and implement quality programs for youth
  • Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment
  • Ability to deal with the general public
  • Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to continuously stand, walk or sit.
  • Ability to function for more than two hours on your feet.
  • Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently.
  • Will be working in a Club environment with children.
  • Ability to be outdoors during all seasons occasionally.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Youth for Success Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes
  • Promote and encourage program participation
  • Provide guidance and role modeling to members
  • Maintain a safe and respectful environment.
  • Effectively implement and administer programs, services and activities for teen members, ages 11-18.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly lesson plans
  • Completes mandatory reports accurately and provides documentation to supervisor as requested.
  • Recruits members as needed to reach program goals
  • Monitor and evaluate programs, services and activities to ensure Club and child safety, quality programs and good appearance of the Club at all times.
  • Track and assess outcomes through periodic activity reports.
  • Ensure a productive work environment by participating in weekly staff meetings
