About The Position

We are seeking a Teen Home Finder to join our Foster Care program at HSVS’. The Teen Home Finder will be responsible for ensuring that our program youths in foster care have a safe, healthy and nurturing foster home.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Experience in foster care preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining collaborative relationships with team members.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all agencies, city, state, and federal regulations and requirements are strictly followed and accurately documented.
  • Support and value foster families while providing loving care for every child in their home.
  • Provide training and guidance to foster families to help them raise happy, healthy and secure children.
  • Specialize in teen foster families.
  • Recruit foster parents interested in caring for teens through community and targeted recruitment.
  • Supervise foster homes and facilitate the step down of youth from the HSVS Healing Homes.
  • Conduct regular meetings with Healing Home staff and identify potential foster families for youth ready to step down.
  • Schedule meet and greets and facilitate pilot period meetings and updates.
  • Complete detailed, accurate and timely written assessments on all foster parents and foster homes assigned.
  • Visit foster homes to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and provide foster parent support.
  • Ensure that all foster homes have complete, accurate, tidy and audit-ready case record files.
  • Assist and support foster parents in meeting challenges and achieving success.
  • Receive training and certification to deliver required foster parent training.
  • Enter data into required electronic systems, including Connections and Binti.
  • Conduct community based and targeted foster family recruitment for teen youth in care.
