About The Position

The Teen Development Specialist is responsible for overseeing daily programming for teens at a designated branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Scottsdale. The role focuses on building relationships with teens, managing staff and volunteers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs that help teens reach their full potential. The specialist will also handle program development, budget management, and communication with parents, while promoting a positive and inclusive environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
• Minimum 2 years work experience in youth development.
• Must be at least 23 years old.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with new technology.
• Ability to earn and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications.
• Valid driver's license and eligibility to drive Club vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with teen members.
• Select, train, and supervise staff and volunteers.
• Oversee program development, delivery, and assessment in conjunction with the Branch Director.
• Manage the branch in the absence of the Branch Director and Youth Development Supervisor.
• Implement positive guidance and discipline techniques to address member behavior issues.
• Serve as the Keystone Club Advisor and manage related activities.
• Design programs based on the interests of Club members.
• Ensure the safety and cleanliness of the teen area and surrounding property.
• Develop partnerships with local schools and law enforcement.
