About The Position

The Technology Operations (TechOps) Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operational support, stability, and configuration of the systems and platforms that power our call center technology environment. This role ensures reliable system performance, supports internal users and operational teams, and serves as a key partner to DevOps and Engineering in maintaining a stable production environment. The TechOps Engineer focuses on execution, support, and continuous improvement of operational processes while escalating complex infrastructure or platform issues appropriately.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in TechOps/SysAdmin or Site Reliability roles supporting Windows & Linux in production.
  • Hands-on SQL Server expertise (query tuning, Always On AG, maintenance plans).
  • Strong Azure background: VMs, VNets, Functions, Storage, Monitoring, Defender, Policy.
  • Scripting chops in Python (preferred) or PowerShell for automation and data wrangling.
  • Proven experience building CI/CD pipelines and IaC (Bicep, ARM, or Terraform).
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory / Azure AD & hybrid identity.
  • Familiarity with containers (Docker, AKS or Azure Container Apps) and Git workflows.
  • Solid grasp of PCI DSS or similar compliance
  • Bachelor’s in CS/IT or equivalent real-world track record.
  • Self-starter mentality and excellent written communication in a fully remote setting.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 operational support for production systems, including call center platforms, telephony systems, and related integrations.
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and alerts; respond to incidents and coordinate resolution following established escalation procedures.
  • Configure, maintain, and support telephony systems (ACD, VoIP, dialers), user access, and application settings.
  • Manage user provisioning, access controls, and system permissions in alignment with security and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers to troubleshoot issues, apply updates, and manage service requests.
  • Document operational procedures, configurations, and incident resolutions to support consistency and knowledge sharing.
  • Support release activities by validating system readiness and assisting with post-deployment verification.
  • Partner with the DevOps Engineer to improve monitoring, automation, and operational tooling.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend operational improvements to reduce incidents and manual effort.
  • Implement security-focused automation including IAM controls, vulnerability scanning, and logging in alignment with established security and compliance requirements (e.g., PCI-DSS).
