The Technology Vice President, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and Data at GDIT is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing AI and data management strategies. This position involves leading a team of data scientists and engineers, developing comprehensive AI/ML strategies, and ensuring the successful implementation of data-driven solutions across the organization. The role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning to drive impactful results in AI and data management.

Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of Data Scientists, AI/ML Engineers and Analysts.
Manage oversight, outreach initiatives, and internal and external communications related to AI and Machine Learning.
Develop and implement a comprehensive AI/ML and Data strategy aligned with business objectives.
Support GDIT's AI and Machine Learning commitments through policy and procedure development.
Test and validate machine learning models using various methodologies and metrics.
Provide technical expertise in AI/ML algorithms, data modeling, and data governance.
Monitor AI & Machine Learning performance to achieve organizational goals.
Assess emerging AI and machine learning technologies and their implications.
Identify risks related to data integrity, security, and compliance, and implement mitigation strategies.
Stay updated on industry trends and champion their adoption within the organization.
Design and implement scalable data architecture and infrastructure solutions.
Oversee the development of machine learning systems and data pipelines.
Collaborate with IT service owners and stakeholders to drive AI/ML and Data projects.
Provide oversight on government and industry audits related to AI, Machine Learning, and Data.
Conduct research on AI legislation and provide strategic support to stakeholders.
Conduct and oversee training on AI and Machine Learning reporting and processes.

Bachelor's degree in data management, data analytics, artificial intelligence, or related field; Advanced degree preferred.
5+ years of experience in AI/ML, Data Management, or related technical roles.
10+ years of related technical experience in Solution Architecture and Programming.
Significant knowledge and experience working within an Azure environment utilizing Azure AI toolsets.
Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and BI platforms.
Proven track record of leading successful AI/ML initiatives.
Strong understanding of data architecture principles, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
Proficiency in machine learning frameworks & libraries (e.g., TensorFlow & PyTorch).
Experience in programming languages (e.g. Python, R, Scala, or Java).

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Proven track record of driving technical innovation and delivering complex projects.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning practices.
Experience in managing multi-million-dollar organizational budgets.
