About The Position

Design and support a diverse array of applications across platforms. Monitor problem queues, resolve incidents, and support change management with robust controls and governance frameworks. Provide live monitoring and telemetry capabilities by analyzing thread pools, server utilization, and performance metrics to achieve optimal performance tuning to ensure a stable environment. Maintain the software lifecycle status, track chronic issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive service improvements and automation initiatives. Setup clustering for workload management and integration with upstream and downstream applications and systems using tools such as load balancers, F5, firewalls, active directory, SQL servers, databases, and XML. Support web and application server binaries for installation and configuration in containerized environments, including private or public cloud. Serve as a subject matter expert in various middleware technologies with a focus on troubleshooting and service improvements.

Requirements

  • configuring and troubleshooting IIS web servers with IIS Manager, Application Pools, and Web.config files
  • configuring and troubleshooting Apache HTTP, Apache Tomcat, and WebSphere products
  • administering and configuring the middleware infrastructure stack for problem troubleshooting and resolution for Production environments to perform root cause analysis for incidents
  • establishing comprehensive monitoring and telemetry for every component of the application stack for troubleshooting
  • utilizing Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices and Agile methodologies
  • providing real-time monitoring and telemetry capabilities by analyzing thread pools, server utilization, and performance metrics to achieve optimal performance tuning and ensure a stable environment
  • monitoring problem queues, resolving incidents, and supporting change management processes with proper controls and governance
  • performing upgrades and migrations of web product platforms such as network topology, load balancers, Database connectivity, VMWare, or ESX
  • configuring one-way and two-way SSL
  • managing TLS protocols and cipher suites
  • ensuring approved authentication and authorization practices by defining clear appropriate policies to control access to resources based on user roles and permissions
  • performing server upgrades and migrations utilizing scripting languages such as PERL, PowerShell, or Python to ensure secure automated patching and high availability
  • Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Technology Support, IIS Web Administrator, Web Infrastructure Engineer, IIS Middleware Administrator, System Engineer/Analyst, or related occupation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Technology Support, IIS Web Administrator, Web Infrastructure Engineer, IIS Middleware Administrator, System Engineer/Analyst, or related occupation.
