The Technology Support Technician at Hawaii Community Health Center plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the organization's IT infrastructure. Under the general supervision of the IT Manager, this position is dedicated to supporting the mission, goals, and objectives of the health center. The technician's responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks related to network infrastructure, desktop and systems support, and collaboration with staff, clinic departments, and external vendors. The technician is expected to maintain a high level of service and support to ensure that all technology-related issues are addressed promptly and effectively. The primary focus of the Technology Support Technician is on network support, which includes managing Active Directory for user and computer administration, monitoring antivirus and malware threats on endpoints, and overseeing data backup processes for networked devices. The technician will also monitor ISP links to identify and resolve latency or packet loss issues, and assist with the installation and cabling of hardware equipment. In addition to network support, the technician will provide helpdesk support, assisting staff with their daily hardware and software application needs, setting up workstations, and managing incident and service requests. Shared operational duties include partnering with medical and dental software vendors for technical support, providing orientation for new employees, and assisting with technical needs for new and existing clinic sites. The technician will also maintain an inventory of software, hardware, and licensing, and facilitate telephone equipment installations in collaboration with vendors. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality support to ensure the health center's technology operates efficiently and effectively.
