The position involves performing and maintaining responsibility for the development to improve reliability and scalability of applications in private cloud and physical infrastructures. The role includes maintaining and improving the reliability of high-scale systems, automating repetitive and manual tasks with scripts, coding, and automation as a service to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency. Responsibilities also include reviewing code, performing operational management, including change and incident management to ensure all release processes and SLAs are met, and addressing outages. The position requires performing release management and continuous integration and continuous deployment, monitoring applications, infrastructure, processes, usage traffic, certificates, performance, and capacity. Additionally, the role involves planning modernization for applications and preparing their migration to the cloud, including reviewing distributed systems architecture and cost analysis. Disaster recovery and testing service resilience to ensure systems can handle unexpected interruptions are also key responsibilities. The position includes mentoring and providing technical training to front-line support staff in application management.

  • 3- or 4-year Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Technology Support, Application Support, System Administrator, IT Specialist, or related occupation.
  • 5 years of experience supporting workflow-based applications with monolithic and layered architectures.
  • 5 years of experience using Oracle databases, including running queries on normalized relational Oracle databases.
  • 5 years of experience working in low-latency Linux environments.
  • 5 years of experience performing disaster recovery and service resiliency tests for high-availability applications.
  • 3 years of experience performing operational management tasks, including change and incident management with ServiceNow.
  • 3 years of experience working with server migration from on-premises to AWS cloud.
  • 3 years of experience using Bash and Perl scripting languages.
  • 3 years of experience monitoring and renewing the lifecycle of SSL certificates.
  • 3 years of experience managing large-scale software applications that support at least 15,000 users.
  • 3 years of experience improving reliability, resiliency, and scalability of high-scale applications.
  • 3 years of experience managing and using scheduling and configuration tools including Autosys, Control-M, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • 3 years of experience deploying code using CICD practices.
  • 3 years of experience using and configuring monitoring tools including Grafana, Geneos, Splunk, Dynatrace, and Datadog.
  • 3 years of experience troubleshooting Oracle query performance issues.
  • 3 years of experience using and managing Cassandra databases.
  • 3 years of experience working with Kubernetes, Kafka, and Elastic.
  • 3 years of experience coding and reviewing software using Java 8 or higher.
