As a Technology Support III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology, you will solve complex and broad business problems with simple and straightforward solutions. Through code and cloud infrastructure, you will configure, maintain, monitor, and optimize applications and their associated infrastructure to independently decompose and iteratively improve on existing solutions. You are a significant contributor to your team by sharing your knowledge of end-to-end operations, availability, reliability, and scalability of your application or platform.

  • Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
  • Writes secure and high-quality code using the syntax of at least one programming language with limited guidance
  • Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems and technical implications
  • Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve the value realized by automation
  • Applies technical troubleshooting to break down solutions and solve technical problems of basic complexity
  • Applies Release management and SDLC including experienced in Jules, Jenkins, GitLab, or Terraform pipeline deployments and container orchestration technologies such as ECS, Kubernetes, and Docker
  • Provide primary infrastructure operational, optimization and engineering support for the on-prem, private and public cloud platform
  • Maintain, tune, support, scalable data pipelines to process and analyze large datasets efficiently
  • Support the transfers and availability of data across different environments and support the integration of data from various sources, ensuring data availability and consistency
  • Collaborate with data scientists to deploy models into production environments (Firm internal Cloud, Linux, AWS, etc.) and support the model runs as needed
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address data engineering challenges
  • Formal training or certification on site reliability culture and principles concepts, with 3+ years of applied experience
  • Proficient in site reliability culture and principles, with familiarity in implementing site reliability within an application or platform
  • Proficient in at least one programming language, such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, or .Net
  • Proficient knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a given technical discipline (e.g., Cloud, artificial intelligence, Android, etc.)
  • Experience in observability, including white and black box monitoring, service level objective alerting, and telemetry collection using tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, and others
  • Proficient with troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues
  • Proficient with Python library ecosystem typically used for data processing such as Pandas, Numpy, etc.
  • Proficient with deployment pipelines for Python and Java based applications
  • Proficient with relational databases and SQL syntax
  • Good knowledge on cloud technology
  • Experience in cloud computing, preferably with AWS
