About The Position

PBS Distribution (PBSd) is a leading distributor of public media content around the world, entertaining audiences across platforms and formats. INTERNSHIP OBJECTIVES: The Technology Intern will gain hands-on experience working with the Technology and Analytics Team with a focus on technology operations, cybersecurity, and emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. The Intern will learn how secure systems, data platforms, and AI-supported workflows are used to protect information and support business goals. Through guided projects, the Intern will assist with documenting and improving internal technology and security processes, gaining practical experience in cybersecurity awareness, responsible AI use, and real-world technology administration that supports PBSd’s mission.

Requirements

  • Rising Sophomore, Junior, or Senior currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (students who have graduated are not eligible)
  • Computer Science, Information Science, Communications, or similar major
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Intermediate or Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a company IT environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Gain familiarity with the structure and workflow of PBSd’s technology operations.
  • Assist with development of documentation of business processes including cybersecurity and AI policies.
  • Manage and support the technology library of knowledgebase articles.
  • Assist in organizing, cataloging, and documenting software systems, services, and assets.
  • Communicate progress of technology initiatives.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
