About The Position

The Technology Solutions Specialist (TSS) position at Tech Electronics is focused on specific technologies such as fire alarm and security systems within a designated geographical territory. The TSS is responsible for discovering opportunities through existing customers, marketing efforts, and personal outreach. This role requires the TSS to design, estimate, demonstrate, present proposals, and close sales independently 70% of the time. Additionally, the TSS will maintain long-term business relationships with a limited number of assigned accounts while also growing sales across all technologies within their customer base.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in a related Business or Technical field or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of two (2) years outside sales experience preferably in the area of Fire Alarm or Security Systems

Responsibilities

  • Manage leads by tracking and following up on them.
  • Master product knowledge and sales expertise for assigned systems.
  • Determine customer needs or 'pain' points.
  • Qualify customers per Tech's Sales Process.
  • Discuss all of Tech's systems to generate leads for other TSSs or their own Account Contacts.
  • Prepare responses for RFP/RFI's for prospective customers.
  • Estimate service contracts for assigned technology.
  • Develop and deliver sales presentations professionally and effectively.
  • Perform system demonstrations as needed.
  • Close sales and meet monthly sales quotas as defined by the Customer Base Sales Director.
  • Meet required year-end Gross Profit quota.
  • Enter all sales activity into Salesforce.
  • Keep sales funnel, expired dollars, and lead dashboards updated in Salesforce.
  • Attend and participate in sales training programs as required.
  • Attend tradeshows and conferences as needed.
  • Participate in one-on-one meetings and be prepared for them.
  • Work with other sales staff to cross-generate leads.
  • Support oneself 70% of the time without additional technical support.
