About The Position

The Technology Resource Technician supports the installation, maintenance, and repair of technology and networking equipment across the district. The technician collaborates with the Technology Department to meet the goals of the District Strategic Technology Plan.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience and familiarity with modern operating systems.
  • Experience with installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting audiovisual equipment.
  • Experience with installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting hardware and software in a school district environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to be flexible, patient, and collaborative.
  • Satisfy all district requirements with regard to physical health and citizenship.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination and installation of technology resources (hardware and software) district-wide.
  • Support the implementation and upkeep of district audio and video systems.
  • Collaborate with site Technology Resource Peer Coordinators, the Director of Technology, and other Technology staff to maintain a planned technology maintenance program.
  • Report hardware issues and coordinate equipment repairs through the Technology Department.
  • Troubleshoot technology-related problems to ensure smooth operations throughout the district.
  • Provide research and input during updates to the District Technology Strategic Plan.
  • Meets regularly and maintains ongoing communication with all members of the Technology Department.
  • Assist with coordination and maintenance of district /site/campus Internet and Intranet web page sites.
  • Works with site personnel within the District to help maintain an up to date inventory of software, hardware and other technology resources.
  • Conducts and/or assist with training other certified, classified and/or volunteer staff
  • Assist the Technology Department with enforcing license agreements, copyright laws and all legal instructions regarding hardware and software use.
  • Attend training sessions and professional meetings to maintain a high level of technical skill in the field.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
