About The Position

The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership to the Purchasing teams ensuring that consistent and effective processes are in place. This position will ensure that performance targets are met and will help to drive process improvement initiatives. The Supervisor will also ensure accurate processing of real estate and personal property invoices and resolution of vendor and stakeholder inquiries. The Purchasing Supervisor reports to Senior Procurement and Payables manager and is located at the Home Office in Oregon.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise activities of staff
  • Monitor daily accounts payable and purchasing activity including invoice posting, technology ordering and capitalization determination
  • Communicate with vendors and/or internal Company personnel in resolving problems related to discrepancies, discounts, terms, nonpayment vendors
  • Address and resolve external vendor and internal customer (dealership and corporate office personnel) issues
  • Assist management in the selection, hiring and training of new team members
  • Ensure smooth rollouts on Store Acquisitions by delivering training to store personnel
  • Maintain effective professional relationships to ensure the effectiveness of communication as defined above
  • Review and approve manual journal entries for invoice processing discrepancies
  • Partner with departments to ensure excellent execution of outsourcing/professional services engagements, monitoring vendor compliance, contractual obligations, and measure performance
  • Lead & project manage procurement initiatives requiring coordination across departments and dealerships
  • Address ad hoc questions and inquiries as needed to support the Purchasing program
  • Oversee Program Implementation, management and maintenance for process improvements and initiatives
