We are looking for an ambitious Early Career Product Owner who will focus on Innovation to join our Verifications Services & Public Safety Intelligence Technology Group. This unique role is designed to be a stepping stone to a mid-level Product Owner position, giving you exposure to our entire product portfolio and laying the foundation for our next revenue streams. Instead of managing one existing product, you will be the engine for new product discovery and viability testing across all business units. Your mission is to take ideas from concept to proof-of-viability, directly contributing to pioneering new markets and growing our revenue. What you’ll do The Product Owner (Innovation) role will serve as an internal consultant and driver for future-focused projects:

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience demonstrating the described attributes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Foundational understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and modern agile principles (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Must be comfortable performing basic data queries (e.g., SQL or internal BI tools) to extract insights and validate assumptions.
  • Data-Driven Analysis: Proven ability to analyze raw data sets, synthesize research, and structure a clear, logical business argument based on quantitative evidence.

Responsibilities

  • Innovation Pipeline Management: Manage and prioritize a backlog of curated, high-potential product ideas sourced from senior leadership and internal partners.
  • Product Discovery: Collaborate directly with existing Product Owners and business stakeholders to actively source, capture, and refine new ideas for product extensions, new features, and emerging market opportunities.
  • Evidence-Based Discovery: Conduct foundational research and independent data analysis, perform competitive analysis and define personas. Research and identify user trends that help build compelling business cases for new product concepts.
  • Requirements & Story Mapping: Translate high-level strategic concepts into clear, concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and basic wireframes necessary for prototype development by engineering teams.
  • Data-Backed Recommendations: Present data-driven Go/No-Go recommendations to leadership. You will be expected to leverage quantitative findings from data analysis alongside qualitative testing results to justify product investment
