The Technology Procurement Specialist will take ownership and responsibility for Technology Procurement which includes hardware, software, subscriptions, data products, and other technology-related services. These support efforts will include planning, negotiating and tracking contractual requirements. They will liaise between IT, Supply Chain, various business units and technology suppliers to execute the Technology Procurement Plan. They will work with key stakeholders across the organization to advise them on renewal planning, the formation of a negotiating strategy and lead negotiation efforts with Suppliers in order to realize positive value outcomes for Murphy. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, contract management experience and the ability to form negotiation strategies to secure software renewals. Accountable for overall contract lifecycle management and coordinating contract reviews/redlines with legal in support of contract execution. Provide clear communication and updates to the Technology Steering Committee, IT leadership and Supply Chain. The Technology Procurement Specialist will work in our Houston Corporate office and may work two (2) days a week remotely.
