About The Position

Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Policy Management Director (Business Accountability Director), as part of the Technology Resiliency, Risk, and Regulatory Execution team. The Technology Policy Management Director is responsible for establishing, governing, and enhancing the bank’s enterprise technology resiliency and operational resilience framework. Serves as the enterprise owner of the bank’s technology policy framework and ensures that all technology related policies, standards, and procedures are current, risk aligned, regulatory compliant, and consistently implemented across the organization. The role blends strategic governance, regulatory interpretation, and hands on coordination with technology, cybersecurity, legal, compliance, and operational risk teams. In this role, you will: Manage and develop a team of multiple levels of managers and individual contributors with focus on delivering service of moderate to high complexity for cross functional stakeholders and internal partners associated with the risk mitigation function or affected by its outcomes Identify opportunities for process improvement and risk control development by overseeing strategy and execution of all activities Lead team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues related to higher risk deliverables; interpret and develop range of policies and procedures for functions with moderate to high complexity and risk Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals, including senior leadership Engage and influence business heads, regulators, control management, risk, legal, and audit partners to successfully ensure appropriate management of business risk Manage allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives in business group Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Requirements

  • 8+ years of risk management, business controls, or compliance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience
  • 4+ years of proven experience developing enterprise policies and governance frameworks in a regulated institution
  • 4+ years of strong understanding of banking technology architectures, including core banking systems, distributed infrastructure, and cloud platforms
  • 4+ years of direct experience supporting regulatory exams and audit engagements

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading policy governance initiatives for technology resiliency and regulatory execution within large-scale banking or financial institutions
  • Expertise in influencing senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams to enforce policy adherence and minimize exceptions
  • Familiarity with emerging technology risk frameworks, cybersecurity standards, and operational resiliency requirements
  • Strong analytical and communication skills to translate regulatory requirements into actionable policies and controls
  • Professional certifications such as CRISC, CISM, CISSP, CBCP, MBCI, or ITIL, demonstrating subject‑matter expertise in risk, continuity, or technology governance
