About the position

As a Microsoft Industry Sales Director, you will be a core member of our national sales team and will be chartered with assisting in strategically building our client base across their assigned industry and region, as well as expanding our relationship with key Alliance with Microsoft. Grant Thornton currently seeks an experienced and successful Business Development Executive with a proven ability to initiate new relationships and leverage existing relationships with key business and IT senior-level decision makers at target accounts. This is a “hunter” role, which includes a deep understanding of prospecting, qualifying, and building relationships in an executive-level, complex sales environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build and expand client base across assigned industry and region.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key business and IT senior-level decision makers.
  • Source, identify, and qualify leads.
  • Articulate how current technologies solve business challenges.
  • Engage in solution-based selling services at the CXO, EVP, SVP level.
  • Collaborate in a team environment.
  • Meet and exceed services quota.
  • Produce proposals, reports, presentations, and spreadsheets using various software programs.

Requirements

  • Strong record of success in Consulting and/or Professional services sales.
  • Experience selling EPM/CPM, Supply chain planning, integrated planning, retail planning, Strategic Workforce planning, and/or Sales Performance Management services.
  • Well networked in the Microsoft ecosystem.
  • Minimum ten years senior level sales experience in a business-to-business or service industry.
  • Ability to develop long-standing relationships within client organizations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated self-motivated, strong work ethic, proactive nature.
  • Ability to use software programs like Siebel, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Readiness to travel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Direct experience selling Infor related services.
  • Relationships with Microsoft sales and management field teams.
  • Prior consulting industry experience or experience in an internal consulting role.
  • Experience with a CRM system (MS Dynamics).
