About The Position

Cooley is seeking a Technology Manager of Learning & Adoption to join the Client Services team. This position is responsible for the strategic vision, design, development, delivery, and administration of all technology learning resources and related change-management initiatives firmwide. The manager will create multi-faceted awareness and learning campaigns that drive engagement, retention, and measurable outcomes. They will play a pivotal role in driving the effective use and adoption of technology across the firm.

Requirements

  • 5+ years direct applicable experience in technical learning and training.
  • Senior candidates must have 7+ years applicable experience with 2+ years of management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft products including M365 suite.
  • Strong knowledge of desktop hardware and other technology.
  • Current knowledge of adult learning methodology.
  • Understanding of educational technology and e-learning.

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to education, technology or business.
  • Post Graduate degree/certifications.
  • Experience managing teams.
  • Prior technical writing or visual design experience.
  • History of developing and supporting innovative learning and engagement methods.
  • Strong understanding of risk management issues applicable to complex projects.
  • Prior law firm or legal experience.
  • Active involvement in learning and engagement professional organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, unify, and champion the vision and strategy for Technology Learning & Adoption firmwide.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure the team delivers the highest possible value to the firm by staying business/practice outcome focused.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies for new technology initiatives.
  • Drive adoption of new tools and processes by designing and delivering targeted communications, training, and in-person support.
  • Anticipate and proactively address resistance to change.
  • Oversee the coordination of new hire technology training and Technology onboarding processes.
  • Coordinate with other teams to ensure curriculum consistency and support global learning initiatives.
  • Utilize subject matter experts to collect and distribute essential knowledge.
  • Analyze learning data to identify trends and measure the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of the L&A budget.
  • Lead or participate in projects of varying scope.
  • Build and empower teams by providing support, resources, and autonomy.
  • Ensure the team comprehensively supports technology topics relevant to firm personnel.
  • Ensure learning L&A adapts the firm’s technology curriculum to individual learner needs.
  • Provide resources that exceed learners’ expectations.
  • Oversee learning technology as it relates to the Technology Department.
  • Lead, facilitate, and supervise coaching sessions of immersive learning.
  • Organize comprehensive testing of new software applications.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technology trends and advancements in adult learning methodologies.
  • Serve as direct supervisor and mentor to direct reports.
  • Manage staffing coverage and review time logs/time off requests.
  • Support business professional development and continued educational opportunities.
