Program Overview The Project Management Academy (PMA) is a 12-month program designed to support analysts to obtain the skills necessary to succeed as an entry level project manager. The program will encompass the following exciting opportunities: Participate in a comprehensive project management training that combines industry best-in-class standards along with company specific methodology, tools and processes. Gain project management skills and knowledge in preparation for the PMI Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification. Rotate within various teams of Information Technology for the Americas such as Enterprise Portfolio Management Office, Project Enablement and Control Office, and Technology Delivery Office to gain deep understanding of the different groups that MUFG project managers collaborate with the most and to provide an opportunity to jumpstart your network Work on projects within various portfolios such as Business Enablement Technology, Enterprise Functions Technology, Enterprise Information Security, and Technology Infrastructure and Operations. Receive mentorship from senior project managers and portfolio managers and gain exposure to MUFG executive and senior management. Position Overview A Junior Project Manager will support IT initiatives by driving the creation of key deliverables and coordinating the successful implementation of technology solutions that meet business requirements.

Requirements

  • 4-year Bachelor’s Degree
  • Recent college graduate with 0-1 year of work experience
  • Communicates clearly and effectively in both verbal and written formats
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships across teams
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex issues and develop effective solutions
  • Maintains a high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all deliverables
  • Understands processes quickly, applies creative thinking, and works collaboratively to achieve results
  • Adaptable and thrives in environments with high levels of change and uncertainty
  • Demonstrates a strong willingness and enthusiasm for continuous learning and professional growth

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead small to medium-sized projects and manage all related activities, including but not limited to:
  • Developing and maintaining project artifacts such as work breakdown structures, risk and issue logs, and meeting materials such as agendas, presentations, and minutes
  • Delivering accurate, complete, and timely weekly progress reports
  • Monitoring and maintaining project financials and forecasts
