The Technology Team at Brown Gibbons Lang & Company (BGL) is seeking an Investment Banking Vice President to join our team. This vertical focuses on several key areas: Software, Information & Tech-Enabled Services, Healthcare Technology, Industrial Technology and Robotics & Automation. This position is based out of either our Chicago, IL or New York, NY offices.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience focused on mergers and acquisitions investment banking, preferably within the Technology space
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Strong sell-side M&A experience, as well as experience in buy-side and capital raising transactions
  • FINRA Licenses 63 & 79
  • Proven track record of strong transaction execution including new business presentations, financial analysis, transaction marketing documents and preparation of other related materials
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong work ethic and organization skills

Responsibilities

  • Support senior bankers in transaction execution and client management
  • Lead day-to-day execution of transactions
  • Manage deal team junior bankers and review their work product
  • Leads development of key engagement marketing materials, including but not limited to: detailed financial and valuation models, memorandums and other transaction related materials.
  • Assists with identification of potential investors, lenders, buyers, and acquisition targets
  • Manage transaction execution timeline
  • Supports with business development efforts
  • Provides mentorship to junior banking team members
