About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including an Associate or Experienced-Level Technology Integration System Engineer to support the Technology and Innovation Organization in Seattle, WA. The successful candidate will join a diverse multi-disciplined team of engineers, technicians, skilled scientists and bold innovators. Our team is responsible for leading the development of integrated capability roadmaps and accelerating technology insertion across a broad portfolio of both digital tools and hard technologies. Additionally, we guide investment recommendations that hasten growth and productivity for BGS. Our group engages with a wide variety of commercial and military programs, while also shaping new program and factory design concepts to maximize benefit to the services life cycle. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 1 + years’ experience in an engineering role.
  • 1+ years’ experience with system requirements analysis and project planning.
  • Experience with product/systems development and integration.
  • Proficiency with standard office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of higher education and/or related work experience (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.).
  • Experience formulating business cases (capturing cost savings or revenue growth opportunities for a project or program).
  • Experience with engineering product development is a bonus (consideration of design and eventual implementation in a manufacturing or operational environment).
  • Cursory knowledge of Boeing Global Services’ portfolio, either through exposure or direct work experience, is also a bonus.
  • Experience with coding or scripting languages for automation (Python, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Work with business partners to establish multi-year technology roadmaps and specific project roll-out plans.
  • Assist in the development, review, analysis, and maintenance of cost and benefit cases for technology projects (i.e. business cases) up for near- or long-term implementation.
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners to include engineering, manufacturing, product support, strategy, IT, etc.
  • Interface across the enterprise to leverage best practices and cross-cutting technologies.
  • Develop and leverage strategic relationships with global partners and external organizations to include universities, government agencies, and strategic suppliers; align BU support and manage BU customer satisfaction.
  • Overseeing research of technologies for potential application to company business needs and support of road mapping activities for future capability planning.
  • System requirements development and analysis through customer interaction.
  • Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as DOORS, Cameo, and mathematical modeling and simulation to develop system definitions/architectures and perform trade studies (includes integration with interfacing engineering disciplines model-based design toolsets).
  • Support the execution of all aspects of Systems Engineering throughout the full program lifecycle (concept definition, design, test, and production), using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methods.
  • Ability to work on-site 5 days per week.
  • May be asked to support other programs or perform other duties as needed.
