About The Position

As a Technology Integration Group (TIG) Liaison, you will be a key member of a unique team of senior cybersecurity engineers. You will act as a subject matter expert and project manager responsible for enhancing the Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) capabilities of the DISA CSSP and Boundary DCO teams. This role requires an individual who can operate independently, manage complex projects, and serve as the essential bridge between strategic acquisitions and tactical operators. You will be the primary conduit for your assigned site, working to identify, problem solve, and support solutions that resolve analyst’s challenges to improve daily operations. This is a hybrid position allowing up to 50% remote work but applicants must be prepared to commute to one of our three sites 2-3 days/week: Columbus, OH; Hill AFB, UT; or Scott AFB, IL.

Requirements

  • Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance and be able to possess a Top-Secret w/ SCI clearance.
  • DoD 8140 IT Project Manager 802(EN) at the basic proficiency level, such as CompTIA Security+ CE, CASP+, etc prior to starting.
  • DoD 8570 CSSP-A level Certification such as CEH, CySA+, GCIA or other certification is required within 180 days of hire.
  • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience in cybersecurity, systems engineering, or technical project management; additional work experience or Cyber courses/certifications may be substituted in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated commitment to training, self-study, and maintaining proficiency in the technical cybersecurity domain.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, including planning, scheduling, and risk assessment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience briefing both technical and executive audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently with little to no oversight and function effectively as part of a distributed team.
  • Must be a US Citizen due to clearance requirement.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DISA and DoD Networks and a strong understanding of the DCO mission, particularly at DISA Global.
  • Project+ and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Advanced understanding of TCP/IP, common networking ports and protocols, traffic flow, system administration, and defense-in-depth principles.
  • Experience with intelligence-driven defense utilizing frameworks such as the Cyber Kill-Chain or MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Subject matter expertise in common security platforms such as Security Information Event Management (SIEM) (Splunk, Elasticsearch), Security Orchestration and Automated Response (SOAR), and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR).
  • Experience fostering collaboration across disparate teams and championing a proactive cybersecurity culture.
  • Experience with Cloud Service Providers (CSP) including Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform

Responsibilities

  • Spearhead technology integration and capability enhancement projects from inception to implementation by performing the following: Research and presentation of technology concept Support onboarding and integration meetings Brief government and contractor stakeholders through the process. Coordinate training and acceptance testing Support the launch and after-action reviews
  • Foster and maintain consistent lines of communication with both Government and Contractor personnel, including Program Management Offices, technology integrators, DCO analysts, and external partners.
  • Deliver regular project updates and briefings to various stakeholders, from DCO analysts to senior leadership like the DISA Director.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on a diverse portfolio of DCO tools and capabilities, with the ability to rapidly master new and emerging technologies.
  • Exhibit a relentless curiosity and consistently seek opportunities to improve technical skills and remain curious, driving towards a deeper understanding of our DCO tools and methodologies.
  • Conduct in depth research and analysis of product documentation, architecture diagrams, CONOPS, and other technical materials to inform integration efforts.
  • Proactively identify, build, and maintain relationships with DCO partners across DISA.
  • Collaborate directly with site-level DCO analysts, Countermeasures/Detection Engineers, and leadership to capture, refine, and champion innovative ideas, address operational challenges, and identify areas for improvement.
