About The Position

As a Technology Instructor, Training for John Deere Training Center located in Davenport, IA, you will assist with the development of technology training, information & content on current and future technology solutions. You will deliver training content to dealers, Deere employees and customers, provide market needs and competitive intelligence to the product marketing team, and evaluate and provide feedback on new technology solutions.

Requirements

  • Expert understanding and ability to operate precision measurement systems such as GPS, 3D modeling of topographical mapping / survey systems, grade control systems and the ability to setup base stations and rovers
  • Ability to learn grade control and machine technology systems
  • Deep understanding of customer applications that involve grade control technology
  • Strong verbal presentation and written skills
  • Candidate must be a strong self-starter who can work independently
  • Ability to travel up to 50% based on business needs

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of John Deere dealer channel
  • Knowledge of construction products, customers, markets, and competitors
  • Surveying experience and/or experience working with Topcon, Trimble and /or Leica offboard equipment
  • Construction equipment operation experience
  • Knowledge of Precision Construction suite of tools including JDLink telematics and SmartGrade integrated grade control technology and Payload weighing
