About The Position

Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Technology Field Service Technician. The Technology Field Service Technician position is responsible for installing, diagnosing and providing support for telematics and machine control products and diagnosing and repairing CAT Product Link and SITECH equipment in the field.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years experience working as a Technician.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Self-starter able to maintain daily routines and installation schedules.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent driving record and valid driver's license.
• Strong mechanical background and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of CAT schematics and wiring.
• Ability to diagnose, install and troubleshoot CAT Product Link/Trimble/other Machine Control Guidance systems and Telematic systems.
• Strong computer and internet skills.
• Excellent customer satisfaction skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work additional hours as needed.
• Capable of safely operating all models of construction and forestry equipment.
• Capable of operating boom truck or equivalent.
• Ability to use overhead, field service cranes and lift trucks.

Responsibilities
