About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology Engineering Director to lead our Compliance Surveillance and Sales Practices & Suitability monitoring technology transformation. The senior leader will drive the creation of a new scenario framework on AWS, support our existing Actimize platform, and drive efforts to enhance our alerting with AI and Machine Learning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS cloud technologies, data engineering, trade surveillance technology, and must be hands-on in their approach.

Requirements

• Proven experience in leading technology transformation projects, particularly in cloud environments.
• Hands on AWS experience with core services and technologies that include Glue, PySpark, Python, Redshift, S3, EMR, Athena, Lambda, Data pipeline and migration, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of data engineering principles and best practices.
• Experience with Actimize or similar financial crime risk management solutions building out new alerts.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on experience in coding, debugging, and technical problem-solving.
• Financial Services Domain expertise with emphasis on building out controls for Compliance and Supervision risk and control areas.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of new data models on AWS using PySpark, AWS Glue, and other AWS services.
• Oversee the transformation of existing data processes to cloud-based solutions, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and security.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of data engineers, developers, and business analysts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Lead the support and development of Actimize Sales Practices and Suitability.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize data processing and analytics workflows.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our solutions remain cutting-edge.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Be actively involved in hands-on coding, debugging, and problem-solving to support the team and ensure project success.
• Partner with Compliance and Supervision on the execution of multi-year technology transformation roadmaps.
