About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Director in Cybersecurity as part of Identity Access Management Engineering. This role is critical to enhancing our security posture, enabling seamless access experiences, and aligning with Zero Trust principles in a highly regulated financial environment. In this role, you will: Serve as the accountable executive for identity posture improvement, risk reduction, and modernization outcomes Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leads Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans Drive adoption of modern identity capabilities including passwordless authentication, identity governance, and conditional access at scale. Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers Identify financial management and strategic resourcing Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers Lead team to achieve objectives Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

Requirements

  • 8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of management or leadership experience
  • 5+ years of Identity Access Management experience with deep expertise in Azure AD/Entra AD and traditional Active Directory

Nice To Haves

  • Experience defining and executing enterprise IAM or identity security strategy
  • Demonstrated leadership in large-scale identity transformations in regulated environments
  • Experience operating hybrid identity platforms at enterprise scale
  • Proven ability to design and implement complex AD forests, federation services, and bastion forest solutions
  • Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Graph API)
  • Strong understanding of identity protocols and Zero Trust architecture
  • Expert-level knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server (2012/2016/2019), DFS, DNS, LDAP, and Kerberos
  • Experience with Azure AD Connect, O365, Exchange Online, and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Familiarity with MFA, SSO, Conditional Access, and privileged access management
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (SOX, PCI-DSS, GDPR) and financial industry standards
  • Preferred certifications: MCSE, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Security+, CISSP
