The Technology Development Program (TECDP) at The Cigna Group is designed for technology-focused individuals who are eager to make an impact in the healthcare sector. This full-time associate program aims to support the professional and personal development of early career technology associates while enhancing their technical knowledge through a series of rotational assignments. The mission of TECDP is to cultivate well-rounded professionals by providing opportunities to develop both technical and business skills, as well as leadership competencies. Associates in the program will embark on a journey that spans approximately 3 to 3.5 years, during which they will have the chance to refine their career paths through diverse experiences. Each associate is supported by a class program manager, an assigned role manager, a program buddy, peers, and mentors, ensuring a comprehensive support system throughout their journey. The program emphasizes the development of generalist and technical competencies, allowing associates to tailor their experiences according to their career aspirations. The program includes technical and non-technical skills training, networking opportunities, formal mentoring, and exposure to a wide array of technologies. Rotations typically last 12 months and cover various roles within The Cigna Group, including Application Developer, Infrastructure Engineer, Machine Learning Specialist, Data Analyst, and Project Manager, among others. In addition to role-specific work, associates will dedicate 20% of their time to participating in one or more of seven committees focused on initiatives such as Recruiting, Innovations, Diversity Equity & Inclusion, and Community Engagement. This structure not only fosters professional growth but also encourages associates to build relationships and connect with cross-functional partners and team members.
