About The Position

The Technology Delivery Analyst, Senior works independently with business partners within the business function to align solutions with business strategies. This role involves identifying and communicating business needs and translating these needs into understandable requirements. The analyst determines if internal or external solutions exist or whether new solutions are needed, collaborating with key technology and/or department analysts to assess the impact of these solutions on existing work processes and systems. The position requires partnering with appropriate resources to accurately prioritize, analyze, and document business processes, providing input on buy vs. build decisions for possible solutions. The analyst is responsible for complex work and assignments typically required of a business analyst.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Communications, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 6 years of work-related experience within the financial services industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of the industry's standard business practices, products, and services.
  • Extensive knowledge of project delivery methodologies and processes.
  • Highly independent in thinking and framing problems.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
  • Highly proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Visio.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all levels of management.
  • Ability to blend creativity, problem solving, and technical skills for refining existing theories or developing new approaches.
  • Ability to present and explain technical information effectively.
  • Ability to communicate needs and schedules to IT and clients.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as an expert in the business units supported, understanding IT and Operations capabilities.
  • Builds, maintains, and manages stakeholder relationships, educating IT and Operations on business direction.
  • Analyzes business partner operations to identify strengths and weaknesses, determining opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Develops business models to represent requirements, such as use cases, business process flows, and data flow diagrams.
  • Captures and validates needed information from stakeholders to form requirements through various analysis techniques.
  • Participates in negotiation of agreements and commitments, facilitating communication between business units and IT from initial requirements to final implementation.
  • Maintains knowledge of business industry trends and leverages IT and VMO partnerships to enhance competitive edge.
  • Works on multiple projects, occasionally as a project leader, evaluating project complexity, assumptions, constraints, and dependencies.
  • Participates in planning sessions with business units to improve business processes and contributes to continuous improvement of business/IT value streams.
  • Observes and reports known or suspected violations of policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and risk limits.
