About The Position

The position involves performing tasks and activities related to the operation, installation, and maintenance of hardware, network equipment, software, and applications throughout the district. The role requires on-site technical work to install and maintain computer equipment and network and software applications. The technician will respond to work order requests by diagnosing and repairing network, equipment, and computer hardware.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2 year Associate degree or working toward an Associate degree in computer-related field or equivalent work experience (preferred, but not required).
• Clear and valid driver's license.
• COMP TIA A+ certification.
• Apple certified iOS Technician (ACT).
• 2+ years of work experience installing, maintaining, and repairing or similar experience (preferred, but not required).
• Working knowledge of technology workstation setup and components.
• Ability to work with multiple operating systems and network protocols.
• Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Installation and repair of desktops, laptops, iPads, and Chromebooks with minimal support.
• Participate in on-the-job training while gaining required certifications.
• Lead installer/repair for common district equipment and projects.
• Advanced troubleshooting of device/software issues.
• Directly contact external vendors for support.
• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade technology equipment and software.
• Monitor and maintain equipment for optimal performance.
• Provide technical assistance to users of computers and instructional equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of time and materials required for repairs.
• Comply with policies established by federal and state laws and local board policy.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.
