About The Position

This is a temporary position working on a project that will last from 6 - 9 months in the El Paso area, with potential for longer-term employment opportunity. There are multiple positions available. It is anticipated that these positions will need to be filled in mid to late March, 2026. If you or someone you may know is qualified and interested, please see the job description below and apply.

Install various low voltage and fiber optic cable, twisted pair, CAT6, CAT5, and coax, risers and tie
cables, including termination, testing, labeling and documentation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to read blue prints
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment
• Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
• Ability to interact with other employees, vendors and clients.
• Two (2) years related experience in commercial cabling installations including CAT5e, CAT6/A

Responsibilities

• Installs cable pathways systems and backbone distribution systems.
• Builds telecommunication and equipment rooms.
• Installs fire stopping cable penetrations.
• Grounds and bonds systems.
• Tests, troubleshoots and prepares documentation for cabling systems.
• Installs and troubleshoots basic fiber optic structured cable distribution systems.
• Terminates, assembles and installs optical fiber LC and/or SC ceramic connectors.
• Diagnoses and corrects basic optical fiber problems.
• Performs basic site surveys under the guidance of the lead technician.
