About The Position

Lead technologist duties directly involves a variety of technical procedures applying ionizing radiation and/or other forms of energy to provide diagnostic images. This role is expected to have direct patient care possibility 50% of total hours worked. Maintains competency in all areas of licensure for self and all supervised staff. Provides leadership for technical and support staff within assigned areas of responsibility. Responsible for providing and maintaining adequate coverage and coordination of activities within assigned areas of responsibility. Provides support and training assistance to all assigned staff, maintains all equipment and equipment certifications, including ACR for Mammography and Ultrasound. General guidance and direction provided by the Operations Manager, Radiologists, and Director.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of AMA Accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Completion of mammography training.
  • ARRT - Radiography - American Register of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years as a staff technologist in area of certifications.
  • At least two years experience as a Sr. technologist in area of certifications.
  • Ability to perform examinations of excellent technical quality in an efficient manner.
  • Knowledge of Mammography Instrumentation operation and quality control procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of departmental computer systems operations (EPIC programs, including Radiant, PACS).

  • Exercise mature and independent judgment.
