About The Position

The Technologist-Echocardiographer Registered Eligible performs imaging procedures and treatments according to radiology practice standards to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. This role involves demonstrating a thorough understanding of radiologic principles and utilizing the most appropriate techniques and positioning for optimal procedures and treatments. The technologist is responsible for developing and implementing procedure/treatment plans, completing necessary documentation, maintaining equipment and work areas, and participating in performance improvement activities to ensure patient care is consistent with established standards.

Requirements

• Recent experience as a Sonographer.
• Registered by ARDMS and/or CCI or a new graduate who is waiting to take registry.
• Proof of registry/certification required by primary source must be available within 12 months of graduation.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire date.
• Basic computer literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principles/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established BMG protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with BMG policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
• Participates in BMG and departmental Performance Improvement activities.
• Completes assigned goals.
