Full-time Tech Aide / Technologist Assistant Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm Location: AHI Greenville - 361 Woodruff Rd, Greenville, SC 29607 Lumexa Imaging partner American Health Imaging is seeking a Technologist Assistant for our outpatient imaging center in Greenville, SC. The Technologist Assistant will be responsible for providing assistance to all Technologists in the center in areas that allow the Technologist to maintain an on-time schedule and run the diagnostic imaging scanning area in an orderly fashion.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA and safety guidelines
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy
  • Skill in written and verbal communication

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet established deadlines
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress or urgent situations

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and support multiple technologists during a shift
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Radiology Technology student or 12 months previous experience in diagnostic radiology or other imaging modality preferred
  • Nursing Assistant or any previous patient care/medical care role
  • Knowledge of medical terminology

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates the company’s values in daily activities
  • Greets and escorts patients to changing room; briefly explains procedure
  • Provides pre-exam screening and instructions, maintaining professional communication with patients at all times
  • Assists patients on and/or off table when requested by technologist patient mobility and transfers
  • Supports technologists throughout scan and contrast administration, as required
  • Manages post-scan patient hand-off
  • Ensures efficient, friendly, and smooth patient experience for all patients who enter the center
  • Ensures smooth patient throughput of the entire center and all modalities
  • Monitors center modality schedules
  • Adjusts patients schedule when necessary and keeping all techs informed of any changes
  • Prepares room set up between patients, including putting proper coil on table, putting previous coil away and changing table sheet
  • Helps the technologist stay on time by having the next patient ready before the current patient is ready to get off the table
  • Provides front-end coverage as needed
  • Attends trainings to stay up to date on best practices and certifications
