Requirements

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • High School Graduate or Equivalent GED
  • 1 year Hospital Transport or Hospital in related field required
  • 1 year Business Related, Imaging Services, Medical Office experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Imaging, under the direction of the clinical manager, assists with patient screening, room set up and prepares patient for exam.
  • Prepares contrast for exam and loads contrast injector as necessary.
  • Provides patient education as instructed by the Imaging Technologist and performs patient education documentation in the patient electronic record.
  • Follows MRI Level II training requirements and standards, where applicable.
  • Works with clinical staff to meet department turnaround times and maintain appropriate exam start times.
  • Responsibilities may be expanded or restricted at the discretion of the manager, based upon patient volumes and/or the needs of the department.
