About The Position

The role of a Technician at Max Motors Dealerships specialises in the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of vehicles, primarily focusing on CDJR and Ford models. Although the preference lies in those with CDJR and Ford certifications, it is not a prerequisite for the position, as our comprehensive in-house training program caters for professional improvement.In conclusion, the Technician position is a vital part of the Max Motors Dealerships team. Candidates with CDJR and Ford certifications will have a distinct advantage but, more importantly, we're looking for passionate car enthusiasts with a can-do attitude and a constant desire to learn and improve.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, but a secondary degree in Automotive Technology or a related field is favored.
  • Previous experience professionally servicing vehicles, with CDJR and Ford experience a bonus.
  • Familiarity with the latest vehicular diagnostic equipment and methodologies.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting skills and attention to detail, with a firm commitment to quality and safety.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with team members and customers.
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Execute general maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, fluid level checks, and brake services.
  • Perform complex vehicle diagnostics to identify mechanical or electrical issues.
  • Repair or replace faulty vehicular components to enhance vehicle performance.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the dealership's quality and safety standards.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by explaining complex technical issues in an easy and understandable manner, building trust and long-term relationships with customers.
  • Regularly update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.
