Solenis is a global supplier of chemicals for paper manufacturing. We are looking to hire a technician to help support our business at paper mills in Massillon OH. The type of work will include lab tests, data collection, equipment maintenance, monitoring equipment, equipment installation, and working well with mill personnel (our customer). There will be on the job training and support on all aspects of the job by the local Solenis team, and Solenis corporate personnel. Solenis has a strong safety culture, and a key area of training will be on safety.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Ability to work in an industrial environment: short term exposure to hot and cold areas, industrial noise wearing ear protection (ear plugs), etc.
Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Plumbing/mechanical/electrical skills.
Knowledge and ability in at least one these areas.
Good interpersonal communication skills.
Strong troubleshooting skills.
High safety awareness- Ability to complete safety training, follow safety policies and work in a safety-oriented manner.
Team player. Working well with others and being respectful of others.

Nice To Haves

Experience with plumbing and pumps would be most beneficial.
Experience with simple lab work would be beneficial.
Mechanical skills are more important than lab skills.
Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word, Excel) is preferred, but can be trained on the job.
Inputting data into excel spreadsheet would be most beneficial.
