Technician
About The Position
The Technician is responsible for the assembly and Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) of new units, from receiving to customer walk-around, following established training procedures and guidelines. This role also involves organizing and controlling the PDI area and service warehouse storage. The technician will perform simple maintenance tasks such as oil changes and tire changes, working under the supervision of the PDI Manager and Service Manager. Adherence to all dealership policies and dress codes is required, along with maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Some technical and / or mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity of product lines sold in dealership.
- Previous motorcycle or automobile service experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Ability to assemble and PDI new units.
- Responsible for new units, starting from receiving to customer walk around as outlined in the PDI training procedures and guidelines.
- Responsible for organization and control of PDI area and service warehouse storage
- Capable of performing simple maintenance i.e.; oil changes, tire changes, etc
- Able to work under close supervision of PDI Manager and Service Manager.
- Abide by all dealership policies pertaining to the department.
- Follow company dress codes and be well groomed at all times.
- Any other specific duties deemed necessary for the overall success of the department and the dealership as a whole.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with all other employees.
