About The Position

Transdev in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an experienced C-Level Automotive Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining engines across various transit vehicles and equipment. As a Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our transit vehicles. Transdev is proud to offer: $29.99- $32.74 (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale) Starting pays $29.99 with progression to $32.74 over 1 year.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D)
Must have automotive maintenance experience
Appropriate ASE certifications: ASE certification program provided.
Mechanic’s Tool Set
Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
Excellent communication skills
Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Must have CDL Class A/B with pax Endorsement

Responsibilities

Perform transit vehicle maintenance in compliance with company standards
Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and determine necessary repairs on transit vehicles
Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize performance.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and accurate repairs
Complete preventative maintenance (PMs), safety inspections, and annual maintenance inspections.
Read and interpret safety documents, blue-prints, schematics, and other mechanical diagrams
Coach and monitor team members
Other duties as required.
