About The Position

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Performs and documents testing in compliance with cGMP, GLP, and in-house procedures. Operates, maintains, & calibrates basic laboratory equipment, as per training. Accepts responsibility for special assignments and ensures completion either by self effort or by coordination efforts of others. Participates in both long-term and short-term projects. Works on special projects as assigned or as requested. Performs cosmetic testing of product comparison samples. Reviews Standard Operating Procedures for all quality control chemistry lab functions. Ensure data reports are complete and correct. Prepares test reagents and solutions following established procedures. Assists with packaging technician tasks. Assist in analytical documentation review, sample storage and laboratory waste managment.

Requirements

EDUCATION: Requires high school education.
EXPERIENCE: As stated in the education requirements.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE: Must demonstrate working knowledge of chemical analysis and laboratory bench work.
Must have a working knowledge of computer usage including experience and ability to troubleshoot in SAP, spreadsheets, word processing, and database packages.
Must understand FDA regulations that are relative to product testing.
TECHNICAL SKILLS: Basic laboratory skills required including pipeting and analytical dilutions.
NON-TECHNICAL SKILLS: Requires excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organization skills. Ability to analyze data. Ability to handle stress and work with multiple priorities independently. Ability to interface effectively with other departments. Demonstrates excellent analytical and decision-making ability. Must be able to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and critically review analytical and related data to prepare technical reports in accordance with all cGMPs. Must be able to coordinate workload and work under pressure.
