About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team, specializing in routine maintenance and servicing of our high-performance vehicles. The ideal candidate will perform essential upkeep tasks such as tire changes, fluid checks, brake maintenance, and other preventive services to ensure optimal vehicle performance and safety. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who prioritizes quality and safety in all aspects of their work.

Requirements

  • Hight School Diploma or GED with additional course work throught a technical trade, school, community college, or junior college to study the construction and operation of engines
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Automotive Technician
  • Proven experience in automotive maintenance, specifically in tire changes, fluid checks, and brake systems
  • Ability to work with precision and attention to detail, ensuring all tasks meet industry safety and quality standards.
  • Familiarity with maintenance software like Fleetio (or willingness to learn) for tracking work orders and service records.
  • Strong understanding of shop safety practices, including proper use of lifts and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lifty heavy objects up to 50 pounds and stand or kneel for long periods
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
  • Safety Certifications (e.g., OSHA 10-Hour)
  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification: ASE certifications are widely recognized in the industry and cover different areas of automotive repair. The most relevant ones for this role include: A4: Suspension and Steering A5: Brakes A6: Electrical/Electronic Systems
  • EPA Section 609 Certification: Required for technicians working with air conditioning systems, this Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification allows mechanics to handle refrigerants legally and ensures they’re trained in environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform tire changes, rotations, and balancing to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Conduct regular fluid checks, including oil, coolant, transmission, and brake fluid levels; perform top-offs and replacements as needed.
  • Inspect, service, and maintain brake systems, ensuring efficient and safe functionality.
  • Identify potential maintenance issues during routine checks and communicate findings with team leads.
  • Maintain vehicle records by accurately recording all services and repairs in Fleetio or designated systems.
  • Follow safety protocols, maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently and in line with company policy.
  • Support other maintenance and repair tasks as assigned by the lead mechanic or shop manager.
