Degreaser System Operation: Operate automated degreasing system to clean metal parts, ensuring adherence to quality specifications. Monitor degreaser tank temperatures, pressures, levels, and chemical pumps to ensure optimal system performance. Accurately perform and log titration tests using the control parameter guidelines to ensure chemical tanks are staying within concentration range. Make necessary chemical pump adjustments based on titration results. Perform routine cleaning of various components of system including screens, flow meters, level sensors, and record on log sheet. Check (walk-thru) inside of degreaser system for fallen parts and missing or damaged nozzles/risers. Wastewater Treatment System (WWT) Management: Operate and monitor chemical treatment system (metal precipitation/O&G removal) to process wastewater from facility operations. Maintain accurate daily logs/records for all wastewater discharge. Collect wastewater samples and prepare kits for pickup by lab. Perform jar tests, when needed, to determine chemical dosage. Adjust chemical feeding pumps and dosage levels to maintain compliance with discharge permits. Operate and clean sludge filter press. Compliance & General Maintenance: Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Handle hazardous chemicals in accordance with OSHA and environmental standards. Maintain a clean work environment including testing equipment. Calibrate meters and testing equipment to ensure accurate reading. Perform basic maintenance on chemical feed pumps such as replacing tubing and valves. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED required. Experience : 1–3 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, specifically with metal finishing, industrial waste treatment is preferred. Skills and Abilities: Able to read, record, and log liquid measurements. Basic understanding of chemical principles, pH, and environmental regulations would be beneficial. Clear written and verbal communication skills for logging data and coordinating with team members. The role demands attention to detail and the ability to respond effectively to unexpected situations. Physical Requirements Able to stand/walk for extended periods (8–12 hours). Frequent lifting and moving of heavy objects (up to 50 lb.). Able to work in both hot and cold conditions. Ability to climb ladders and work around hazardous chemicals. Able to move chemical totes/drums with a pallet jack or drum truck.
