About The Position

The Wireless Technician plays a critical role in delivering reliable wireless telecommunications services by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of wireless systems. Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, this role ensures that projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with customer and carrier standards.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and construction drawings.
  • Hands-on experience with coax/fiber installation, termination, and labeling.
  • Competency with hand and power tools, spectrum analyzers, OTDRs, and splicing equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work at heights, including rooftops and towers.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members, customers, and management.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of field installation experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior wireless industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of telecom carrier standards, equipment testing, and splicing techniques preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Installing, maintaining, testing, repairing, and upgrading wireless systems, including rooftop macro sites, pole mounts, small cells, and distributed antenna systems (indoor and outdoor).
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and construction drawings to determine optimal cable and equipment routes.
  • Installing and labeling coax cables, antennas, racks, and remote units in compliance with industry standards.
  • Performing cable sweeps, spectrum analysis, and return/insertion loss testing; conducting PIM testing and implementing mitigation measures.
  • Splicing and testing fiber using OTDRs, fusion splicers, and other diagnostic equipment to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Operating lifts and bucket trucks safely to perform work at height.
  • Supporting engineers and project managers with field data, equipment setup, and site readiness.
  • Ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and carrier compliance standards.
