This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a hardworking team of technicians you will be responsible for delivering flight tested hardware that will be integrated into final assemblies. You will be responsible for performing final acceptance testing ensuring assemblies are built and assembled per Blue’s extremely high standards. Ensuring the delivery of a quality robust product. Position Specific Details Relocation provided Shift available: C Shift Friday - Sunday (5am - 5:30pm)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills including work prioritization, scheduling, and providing succinct status reports.
  • Ability to self-start, find clarity in ambiguous situations, earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Knowledge/experience in manufacturing and test processes and procedures.
  • Strong ability to comprehend technical work instructions.
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong safety approach and experience, including hands-on experience planning and conducting hazardous or critical operations.
  • Experience with drawings, shop orders, and detailed work instructions.
  • Experience with electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic test equipment.
  • Experience with various types of gages, instruments and measuring devices.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Some Experience with software systems, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Physically able to climb ladders and stairs and lift and carry 50 lbs. for limited durations.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or technical degree in a relevant field
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems, Non-conformance systems, Ticketed request systems and order scheduling systems
  • Experience using and maintaining calibrated equipment.
  • Experience with mechanical and pressure systems
  • Ability to apply test instrumentation and control components such as pressure transducers, thermocouples, RTDs, strain gauges, accelerometers, flow meters, load cells, relays, and solenoid valves is preferred.
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics and reports.
  • Experience with test instrumentation integration systems.
  • Familiarity with National Instruments, Dewesoft, or Arduino (LabVIEW / Test Stand)

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with a team operating and maintaining the environmental test equipment used for acceptance testing of flight hardware.
  • Perform acceptance tests on flight hardware following written instructions.
  • Conduct hands-on environmental stress screening (thermal, vibration, and pressure) on with company outlined procedures.
  • Assist with installation, operation, troubleshooting and maintenance of vibration tables, Thermal chambers, Pressure systems, DAQ equipment including PT’s, TC’s, Voltage, and current Mass flow meters.
  • Coordinate with test engineers and engage with management on daily test activities.
  • Clean and perform maintenance on machines, equipment, and work areas in accordance with 5S standards and maintenance program.
  • Support several test projects simultaneously to meet operations schedules.
  • Configure test setups, fixtures, and instrumentation per test plans and standards.
  • Collaborate with Test Engineers to accurately detail work instructions ensuring clear concise instructions.
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate cost, schedule, and technical risks.
