About The Position

This position is responsible for providing support for product development under Engineering management's general supervision.

Requirements

• Must have a working knowledge of instrumentation and wiring systems
• Must have a familiarity with UL, CSA, IEC and government standards and test procedures
• Must possess knowledge of general machine shop work
• Must have general knowledge of household and industrial electrical devices and wiring in accordance with the National Electric Code
• Must have familiarity with some of the following tests and equipment: Digital Multi Meter, Volt, Amp, Watt Meters, Oscilloscope, Temperature/Humidity Cabinet, and Thermocouples and temperature testing
• Must have the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite for Windows

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental tests on electronic and electromechanical devices in accordance with UL, CSA, IEC and governmental standards
• Interpret test results, perform data analysis and create written reports
• Assist in the selection and procurement of supplies
• Assist in the construction of specialized test fixtures and equipment
• Provide interpretation of standards
• Test, maintain and evaluate equipment performance
• Assemble product samples for testing and evaluation as well as a modest amount of fabrication and or surface finishing as required for any components needed to build the product samples
