About The Position

Responsible for stocking and maintaining supplies across hospital departments using computer-assisted tools and standard inventory practices to support efficient patient care operations. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.

Requirements

  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate multiple computer systems
  • Effective English communication skills (read, write, speak, and understand)
  • Ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs periodic cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory; adjusts inventory records as needed
  • Stocks units with office and medical supplies; prepares requisitions to maintain par levels
  • Receives shipments, logs receipts, enters data into the inventory system, delivers items to departments or other facilities, and reports/documents errors or damages to management
  • Answers the telephone, receiving dock, and walk-up window professionally; routes calls/messages appropriately
  • Completes clerical/computer tasks that support patient care delivery
  • Processes outgoing mail
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, and contractors
  • Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information
  • Perform other duties as assigned
