About The Position

Performs patient activities for which she/he has been prepared within the scope of law. Functions as an integral part of the nursing team. Works with the RN in caring for patients and is self-directive providing sub-acute care or performing routine activities. Assist the RN / Surgeon / Endoscopist during a surgical procedure.

Requirements

• High School Graduate required.
• Ability to exercise initiative within scope of practice.
• BLS required.
• Mental capacity to perform responsibilities.
• Able to walk briskly, stand and lean over.
• Able to lift moderate weight.
• Has quick reaction to prevent injury to patient or self.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of approved school of practical nursing or surgical technology preferred.
• 1 year of scrubbing experience preferred.
• CST certification preferred (for Surgical Scrub Techs)
