About The Position

EHS Technologies Corporation currently has a need for a Technician – Radiographer (Part-time) at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC-IHD), Maryland. Description: Work is located at Naval Surface Warfare Center – Indian Head. Situational telework may be authorized. Most of the job will require on-site presence at NSWC-IHD. Provide engineering and technician support in the areas of testing energetic materials and items in the following areas : · Supporting non-destruction testing of energetic materials, including x-ray support; · Test plan writing, data analysis, and test reporting; · Providing environmental, health, and safety engineering and services including but not limited to: • Providing expertise as it relates to compliance with regulations and instructions published by DoD as well as federal, state, and local environmental agencies; • Generating and providing support for the review and generation of technical documentation including directives and tools. Specific duties include providing support to analyze processes, procedures, devices and equipment requirements that are needed to train civilian, active duty, and reserve military personnel to operate and maintain facilities, systems, ships, equipment, ordnance and related systems. Training includes individual and classroom, as well as formal on-the-job training. The contractor shall assist in the development of Navy Training System Plans (NTSPs) and training items including computer based/multimedia training products.

Requirements

  • At least 15 years’ experience in technician support in testing of energetic materials.
  • Technical expert (Level III) in the non-destructive evaluation (NDE) methods of Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and Radiographic Testing (RT).
  • Knowledge of developing NDE training courses and delivering training content.
  • Knowledge of performing Front End Analysis (FEA) for new training requirements.
  • Knowledge of developing Navy Training System Plans (NTSPs).
  • Knowledge of developing training effectiveness evaluation plans (TEEPS) that meet the requirements of OPNAVINST 1500.76A.
  • Knowledge of performing Equipment Facility Requirements (EFR) reviews to ensure existing facilities support the introduction of new systems and equipment.
  • Knowledge of training and training development for facilities, systems, ships, and equipment relevant to ordnance and related systems.
  • Knowledge of developing training related items such as curricula, student guides, and training project plans.
  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma
  • The candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • The candidate must be willing to submit to random drug testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Specific knowledge of NDE testing of energetic materials is preferred.
