About The Position

The Quality Engineer Technician provides technical support to solve problems and work directly with cross functional teams on MRB activities and improvement processes. This position is expected to develop skills in inspection process development, non-conforming material review and disposition.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Engineering Technology (or equivalent) or High school diploma/ equivalent and an additional 2 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the Medical Device field.
  • Must be able to work with all levels of management and ability to work with a team of engineers providing support.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet project timelines across departments.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communications skills, including the ability to present information, facilitate meetings and provide direction to others.
  • Must be able to direct others without formal leadership authority.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism among peers and communicate effectively will all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to accomplish tasks through effective planning, organizing, of work activities.
  • Strives to continually improve job-related, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Experience generating computerized Nonconformance database records and standard reports.
  • A minimum of 200Mb/sec download and 10Mb/sec upload speed internet connectivity is required to support any remote/hybrid employee functionality at Sonova.

Responsibilities

  • Supports MRB for all dispositioning needs and other workload needs (i.e. administrative tasks, cycle counts, scheduling rework, sets up weekly meetings).
  • Performs inspection duties to support in-process inspections.
  • Provides training to personnel as required (includes demo assessments, etc.).
  • Works on cross functional projects.
  • Works on continuous improvement activities which directly support the business.
  • Participates as a member of NCQIT.
  • Provides technical guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems.
  • Prepares thorough and accurate measurement summaries, correspondence, ECO documentation, and tool sketches.
  • Other duties as assigned.
