Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct pre-operational walkthroughs and maintain all required records and documentation. Perform temperature checks of each cooler and freezer to ensure compliance with food safety standards. Complete and maintain cleaning and sanitation records. Monitor maintenance preventive schedules and continuous temperature tracking systems (Monnit). Calibrate and assign thermometers while maintaining accurate records. Monitor and manage pest control programs in coordination with vendors. Perform inbound product audits and manage tablet-based inspection systems. Review aging reports, including ERP aging data, to ensure product quality and compliance. Manage donation processes and documentation in coordination with Operations (OPS). Support transfer-to-freeze processes, including detailed review and coordination with OPS. Oversee returns, product holds, and shrink management processes. Conduct truck audits using QA COSMOS and ensure compliance during transit. Review and archive time temperature recorders (TTR) for inbound and transit shipments. Manage inventory and ordering of temperature recorders (Copeland system – Quirch in-house). Administer Copeland refund program, including recycling processing and shipping. Conduct food safety training for new hires and annual recertifications using HR-provided materials. Perform HACCP weekly record reviews, ensuring proper validation and sign-off by required personnel. Serve as liaison with regulatory inspectors and third-party auditors during audits and inspections. Maintain annual water certificates of potability (county and/or city compliance). Coordinate annual scale calibration and process vendor invoices for services. Capture and provide product images to support sales requests. Assist with sample preparation for sales in coordination with corporate teams.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in quality assurance, food safety, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety standards including HACCP, FDA, USDA guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Ability to work in cold storage environments and warehouse settings.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn QA systems (e.g., COSMOS, ERP systems).
