About The Position

CBS2/KCAL9 has an immediate opening for a Technician (Production Support) for the Los Angeles Duopoly. The Production Tech role is responsible for working with editorial staff and field crews in acquiring, routing, and operating equipment to acquire live signals. Editing video using nonlinear editing equipment for the newscast and supporting the technical needs of the Production Control Room and Studio.

• Familiarity in Edius and Grass Valley systems

Responsibilities

• Safely operate crane jib camera
• Knowledge of Cellular Bonding systems (Dejero, LiveU)
• Schedule and record live feeds
• Edit stories quickly and accurately
• Sound technical decisions under pressure
• Studio and Production Control Room Support
